Ride with Me
Collecting dust or creating an adventure? Our Skoda “Ride with Me” campaign encourages the women of the UK to get back on their bikes this summer.
The Challenge
We understood that the inertia is real for women when it comes to cycling, with male cyclists outnumbering their female counterparts by almost 3 to 1. The real focus then was to inspire a new movement amongst our female audience … to embrace the outdoors and learn to love their bikes again.
Our Solution
What better way to change these numbers than through the power of friendship. By encouraging avid female cyclists to persuade their female friends and family to join them on a ride, our campaign ignited a new-found passion, all whilst bringing loved-ones together.
In our 45-second campaign, Paris 2024 Bronze Medal winner Elinor Barker takes TV presenter Angellica Bell out for a bike ride whilst discussing the benefits and sharing a picture or two. After this initial launch, we created a Strava challenge for female cyclists to share their rides and snap a photo with their friends.
The impact was clear – with over 24,000 Strava entries from female cyclists and 1,500 photos uploaded, cycling has captured the hearts of women across the country!
