To celebrate over 40 years of Vodafone connecting the nation, our beautifully crafted Christmas ad takes viewers on a nostalgic journey through the evolution of festive communication and the power of connection.
The Idea
By adopting an emotive and nostalgic tone, we spoke to all generations through reliving memories of first communicating with “brick phones,” then using a flip, and eventually a smartphone. For four decades, Vodafone has been the connector through every festive moment, and on their 40th birthday, we championed the role Vodafone plays in keeping families and friends together, no matter where they are. Beyond the TV commercial, the campaign extends across platforms, including a social series featuring Roman Kemp and his mother, Shirlie Kemp.
The Impact
Racking up 5-star reviews and being recognised as an “ad of the day” within days of its launch, this festive film (which rolls out across all channels) has won hearts with its beautiful message. Although the phones we use may change, the joy of connecting with loved ones at Christmas has stayed wonderfully the same.
